Teaching Assistant Volunteer
Work with students of all ages in our education department. We are always seeking assistants for both our on and off-site educational programming.
On-Site Youth Classes: Assist in youth classes (ranging from ages 3-12) and help introduce the next generation to a variety of visual art forms.
On-Site Adult Classes: If you are particularly skilled in a specific visual art form, you may be just right to be a studio monitor/class assistant. Work with your peers/faculty to make sure classes and open studio time runs smoothly.
Off-site Locations: The Richmond Art Center offers a variety of youth classes in the Richmond community through our Art in the Community program. Work with faculty at schools, libraries, and community centers and bring the Richmond Art Center into the community.
Note: Art in the Community Volunteers are required to be fingerprinted and produce record of a negative TB test. Once assigned a volunteer position, the Richmond Art Center will cover the costs of these procedures.
