Summer Art Camp FAQ
Summer Art Camp at the Richmond Art Center is an inspiring, creative experience for the young artists in your life!
INSTRUCTIONS FOR REGISTRATION
- Select the classes that you would like your child/children to attend and complete the online registration. You will be sent a final email with confirmation of your registration.
- Read and sign the Summer Art Camp Policies, and complete the Summer Art Camp Release of Liability Form. You may fill out these forms and print them, or print and hand-fill them:

Students who sign up for both a morning and an afternoon camp session may register for Supervised Lunch. This includes supervision and activities in our enclosed courtyard between 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM. Students must bring their own bagged lunch. If a student is enrolled in both morning and afternoon camp sessions, and will not be picked up between camps, they must be registered for Supervised Lunch.
Students enrolled in an afternoon camp may also enroll in After-Care from 4:30 to 5:30. Students will enjoy games and activities in our courtyard. We recommend that students bring a snack. Students must be picked up by 5:30 PM.
Drop-Off and Pick-Up
A parent or guardian must walk their student into the Richmond Art Center building to sign them in and out for camp. Please read the full Summer Camp Policies (link above) for details.
Morning camp drop-off: 9:00-9:30 AM (building will not be open before 9:00 AM).
Morning camp pick-up: 12:30 – 12:45 PM.
Afternoon camp drop-off: 1:15-1:30 PM
Afternoon camp regular pick-up: 4:30-4:45 PM
After-Care pick-up: no later than 5:30 PM
Late Pick-Up Fees
It is important that you pick up your child on time from RAC summer art camps, and we provide a 15-minute window for pick-up and drop-off because we know getting around the bay area can be difficult at times. Please aim to be at the RAC at the beginning of the pick-up time. The RAC will charge a $10 late pick-up fee for any day that a child is picked up later than 5 minutes after the pick-up time from their camp. If a parent/guardian is late picking up their child three times, the child may be dropped from the program at RAC’s discretion.
If a child is enrolled in after-car, and is not picked up by 5:35 PM, a $25 late fee will be charged. If a child is left at the Richmond Art Center after 6:00 PM, the police will be notified and your child will be removed from camp.
Classes for ages 5-16 are designed to fill the skill set for a specific age range. Class age ranges are based on this, and not on a child’s artistic ability. No exceptions are made.
