Musical Reflections on Diebenkorn

A unique opportunity to view the intimate artworks in the Closely Considered – Diebenkorn in Berkeley exhibition in concert with the music of its time played by the Del Sol String Quartet.

The evening’s program will include music of Robert Erickson, followed by a reception with wine and hors d’oeuvres.

Cost: $20 suggested donation, sliding scale, no one will be turned away due to an inability to pay.

About Del Sol String Quartet:
The San Francisco based Del Sol String Quartet is a two-time winner of the top Chamber Music America/ASCAP Award for Adventurous Programming. Members include violinists Kate Stenberg and Rick Shinozaki, violist Charlton Lee and cellist Kathryn Bates.

Del Sol began in 1992 at the Banff Centre for the Arts in Canada and has has released five critically acclaimed CDs since 2002. Del Sol commissions and performs new works from around the world, including at prominent concert series nationwide, such as the Kennedy Center, Library of Congress, National Gallery of Art and Smithsonian Museum in Washington, DC; Symphony Space in New York City; Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music in Santa Cruz; Other Minds Festival of New Music in San Francisco; Santa Fe Opera New Music Series; and internationally in Canada, Mexico, South Korea, Switzerland and China.
