The Board of Directors at Richmond Art Center extends a warm invitation to all current, recent, and prospective members, along with the wider community, to our Annual Members’ Meeting. Learn about the achievements of Richmond Art Center over the past year and our plans for the future.

During the meeting, current members will also have the opportunity to vote on candidates for the Board of Directors and to approve changes to the By-laws. In-person voting will take place from 12:00pm to 12:30pm.

Following the meeting, we invite you to stay for refreshments as we celebrate our Summer Exhibitions Opening Reception.

PROSPECTIVE BOARD MEMBERS

Richmond Art Center’s Nominating Committee and Board of Directors have nominated the following two people for a three-year term on Richmond Art Center’s Board of Directors:

Matias Eusterbrock: Matias was raised between Richmond, Berkeley, and Oakland, and is deeply committed to supporting local art cultures. Matias currently works for the City of Richmond helping administer a large climate equity grant, and previously worked in San Jose and San Francisco on community planning and racial equity initiatives. Matias is also an active member of Bay Area stagehand unions Local 16 and Local 134, and organizes a monthly dance party in Oakland with over 500 regular attendees. Matias is excited to support Richmond Art Center in expanding its audience and deepening connections to the local community.

Lanita Mims: Lanita Mims brings Richmond Art Center decades of experience managing, coordinating and directing human services organizations. Lanita is also a very experienced event planner, and she owns her own event planning business. Lanita served on numerous Boards, including the Contra Costa Commission of the Arts, the Contra Costa Women’s Commission as well as the Contra Costa Housing Authority. Lanita has been an active volunteer for the food bank as well as many other organizations. She brings facilitation skills and teaching experience to Richmond Art Center. Lanita is looking forward to lending her varied skill set to help Richmond Art Center thrive.
