Richmond Art Center is pleased to announce the exhibition selected from our recent Call for Proposals: Unsettled Things/Things I Had to Leave Behind by artist Xinchen Li. Li’s solo show will explore memory, loss, and migration through delicate sculptures – created using a 3D printing pen and biodegradable PLA – of everyday objects left behind during her journey as an international student and new immigrant.

Xinchen Li is a jewelry artist and sculptor from China. Now based in the U.S., she holds an MFA from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a BFA from the University of Kansas. Rooted in nostalgia for her childhood, Li’s work blends storytelling and symbolism, expanding from small-scale jewelry to large wearables and installations.
