Dear Community Members,

Richmond Art Center exists because of you, your creativity, participation, and belief in the value of art and creative expression. Thank you for your support and for being central to Richmond Art Center’s creative community.

As we navigate today’s economic climate, we want to share some upcoming changes. We are reviewing our programs, operating expenses, and labor costs across all studio areas to address rising costs and keep our offerings accessible and sustainable.

At this time, our operating expenses are outpacing program revenue. In response, we are making careful decisions to ensure the future and stability of Richmond Art Center while supporting fair compensation for our Teaching Artists.

To better align program costs and revenue, we will gradually adjust class and workshop pricing. Though we have not increased class pricing in years, this approach allows us to sustain the quality of our programs while ensuring their stability for years to come. The first phase of these modest adjustments will appear in our summer semester programs.

We recognize that any increase may have an impact. Accessibility remains central to our mission, and we are committed to growing alongside our community. We continue to offer several ways to participate at reduced or no cost, including:

We encourage you to explore these options and stay connected with us. Your support helps ensure Richmond Art Center continues to thrive for years to come.

With appreciation,

Ilene N. Conde

Education Director
