Summer Art Camp

Summer Art Camp for Kids 2023

Summer Art Camp at Richmond Art Center gives kids (ages 5-12) an exciting immersion in visual arts practice. Daily projects include drawing, painting, printmaking, textile arts, and sculpture.

In 2023 camps will be held over 6 weeks between June 12 to July 28. (No camp July 3 to July 7). Weekly camps run Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 2pm.

Summer Art Camp is fully booked. Please add your child’s name to the waitlist for the camp/s you are interested in and we’ll let you know if a space opens up.

Youth Programs

S.P.O.T.S: Summer Mural Program for Youth

Public art is a powerful tool for community building. This program introduces young artists (ages 14-24) to the means to create vibrant community art works. A cohort of young artists learns about different models of community art projects, helps to define how the program will local youth, and creates a collaborative mural project.

Framing Identity

For this three-week course, youth (ages 13-17) explore the legends, characters and icons that have informed their personal identity and cultural understanding, while developing their own visual language in mixed media.
