Richmond Art Center, 2540 Barrett Avenue, Richmond, CA 94804
Supporters and friends of John Wehrle and Richmond Art Center are warmly invited to a special closing reception for the exhibition Time & Tide: The Art of John Wehrle.
In 1976, John Wehrle painted his first major Bay Area mural, Positively Fourth Street, on the de Young Museum’s south wall. Nearly fifty years later, the exhibition Time & Tide: The Art of John Wehrle surveys Wehrle’s remarkable career, from Vietnam combat artist to creator of iconic public murals, studio works, sculptures, and photographic compositions.
Spanning decades and shared by many, John Wehrle’s story is one worth celebrating. Positively John Wehrle invites us to come together in honor of his remarkable career.
This event is open to the public and invited guests. Kindly RSVP in advance (see below).
