Youth Art Tours
Richmond Art Center is pleased to offer Youth Art Tours for the 2024-2025 school year! Art Tours offer youth ages 7 to 24, opportunities to view, discuss and engage with art. Youth Art Tours run concurrent with our seasonal exhibition offerings and are always unique to our exhibition content.
Email education@richmondartcenter.org to inquire about Adult and Senior Tours!
During their visit, students will participate in a guided tour from a professional teaching artist. Our teaching artists help to spark thought provoking discussions and teach students new vocabulary and artistic concepts. Students will also tour the art centers’ creative spaces such as printmaking, metal arts, and ceramic studios. Students will then engage in a unique art-making activity inspired by the artwork on view.
Between the tour and activities, students will have breaks and a 30-45 minute lunch, where they are encouraged to explore and enjoy our courtyard and community spaces. Please note that Richmond Art Center does not provide snacks or meals for tour groups.
Pricing: Tours are a flat fee of $150 for 25 students (or less). Additional students are $5 each. For the safety of the students and our staff, we have a 50 student limit per visit. Studios are small and not equipped to hold more than 20-25 students at a time. We require one parent or aide for every five students.
For larger groups, please contact education@richmondartcenter.org for potential accommodations.
